The solution

Dental implants are false roots which are inserted in the place of missing teeth. There are hundreds of types known, but screw implants are the most common. The material that screw implants are made of is base titanium, as the human body admits it easily: titanium bonds with natrium, water, chloride, calcium and phosphate molecules, as well as proteins, so that the bone tissue’s protein structure can bond to it later. Disadvantages
- Cost alone can deter you from getting this surgery done. Pricing can range from $1000 on up, and dental insurance is not going to cover the insurance, so if price is an issue, this may not be the procedure for you. Discuss this with your dentist. They may be willing to work with you on the cost of dental implants.
- The procedure is not a quick and simple fix. You will need to make numerous visits to the dentist before your smile is back on track.
- Recovery time could take 3-6 months. Bruising and swelling could develop after the implantation procedure.
- The different steps of the implantation process could be painful. You might be one of the lucky ones to go through discomfort, but expect to deal with some pain.
- There is a chance that the crown may need to be replaced after ten to fifteen years (although, if taken care of well, it could last forever).
